Farmville Neighbors

Neighbors are one of the most valuable free resources that Farmville gives you access to.  They can fertilize your crops, send you gifts, and offer you a chance to profit from their achievements, lost animals and Mystery Eggs.  If you help out on their farms, you can also earn coins and xp for fertilizing their crops.  There’s no way around it—in Farmville, you need neighbors!

Getting Neighbors

If you don’t have a lot of friends who play Farmville (and you’re a little shy about asking them), consider adding friends from one of the many Farmville fan sites.  These sites will have lists of people who are all looking for the same thing that you are—more neighbors!  Send them a friend invite and be sure to mention “Farmville” in your message so they know why you’re asking.  To find these fan sites, search “Farmville” on Facebook and look through the results.  The application “Farmville” will have a list of fans you can try adding friends from.  Additionally, you can try “FarmVille!”, “farm ville”, etc. for more players.

How to Benefit From Your Neighbors

Watch the Facebook Live Feed from your Farmville friends.  When they ‘Share the Wealth” from achievements, you can celebrate along with them and collect between 50-500 coins!  Return the favor and always “Share the Wealth”!

Also keep an eye out for Lost Animal postings from your friends.  You can easily collect all the rare animals you want by adding lots of neighbors and watching the Feed.  This requires you to stay off of the game for a while and just keep an eye on the Feed.  Rare animals can be adopted seconds after being posted, so you need to be alert and have a bit of luck.

Mystery Eggs, a relatively recent Farmville innovation, work as bonuses for your friends.  Collecting eggs from your henhouse provides a chance of Mystery Eggs.  You cannot hatch them yourself, only other people can hatch these eggs.  In the same way, other people will post their eggs via Live Feed—take advantage of this and hatch unique prizes!

When your neighbors plant flower crops, they will occasionally harvest “Perfect Bunches”.  They can choose to share these flowers with you via Live Feed.  While you’re watching for Eggs and Lost Animals, grab a bunch of flowers or two and decorate your farm!

Being a Good Neighbor

Be a good neighbor to the people who have been kind enough to friend you.  Make sure to send all your free gifts every day and post anything that you can share with them.  If possible, visit their farms and help out by fertilizing their fields.  You’ll both benefit from this activity and make your friendship even stronger!  Remember too, when you’re watching the Live Feed, don’t horde all the Lost Animals for yourself.  After you get a couple, let some other people have a turn and come back tomorrow.
